Sermon Title: A Prostitute shows the way to be saved

Sermon Text: Joshua 2:1-24

Review from last week

Lessons from the book of Joshua: Finding courage through the challenges of life.

The “WITH” factor: WILL I TRUST Him?

Salvation comes knocking no matter how far from God you are.

Rahab was a foreigner

Rahab was a prostitute

But, Rahab was a woman who knew how to survive

Salvation is possible when you believe God is supreme.

Have you embraced this reality?

Salvation is available to you when you are willing to agree to the conditions of God’s protection.

Rahab asks for a promise of protection

The Hebrew word “kindness” = committed love

The spies agree and then clarify the conditions of the promise with Rahab.

Rahab agrees with the conditions and then she puts her faith into action enabling her to be saved.  (Matthew 1:5; Hebrews 11: 31, James 2: 25)

To find God’s salvation, you have to believe Jesus is Lord...and follow him.
